Anthony Ulrich, DVM, MS
Dr. Tony Ulrich earned his M.S. in 1980 and his D.V.M. in 1984 from the University of Illinois. He has practiced in Southern Illinois since 1984. He opened Stone Creek Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Raymond Heinrichs in 2005. Dr Ulrich introduced laparoscopic surgery to the tri-state in 2008 and laser therapy for hip dysplasia in 2011. His area of interest is small animal internal medicine, laparoscopic and orthopedic surgery. His hobbies include sky diving, marathon running, sailing and sitting on the beach and unwinding.
Raymond Heinrichs, DVM
Penny works full time as Office Manager & Receptionist. She has been with us since Sept 2010. She has been working in the Veterinary services for 20+ years. Penny has 1 daughter, 2 sons & 1 grand-daughter. She has a choc. lab named "Dirt", Terrier mix "Tate" and 3 cats "Pipestone", "Ricki" & "Izzy". Penny enjoys bowling and watching her sons dirt-bike race during her time off.
Bekah joined our team in 2015. She was born and raised in Pinckneyville, IL and grew up with many different animals. She has a love for horses and competes in running barrels, poles, & trail riding. Bekah knew she wanted to become a vet tech so she can help other furry friends to live long and healthy lives. Bekah graduated from SICCM Veterinary Technician program in 2015 earning her Illinois CVT license. She hopes to start a buisness of training horses & riders. Bekah stays very busy taking care of her family which includes Buddy & Flash her 2 horses, cats Chloe, Doots & Spooks, rabbit Thumper, & Venny her Chinchilla.
Lisa has been a part-time veterinary technician at Stone Creek for 7 years. She has had many dogs and horses all her life. Lisa's love for animals is the main reason for working in the veterinary field. She has been very involved in breeding and showing her Champion Treeing Walker Coonhounds for the past 15 years. She has earned several national championships and grand national championships with her dogs.
Elizabeth joined our team as a full time vet tech in 2015. She grew up in New Hampshire where she enjoyed her dogs, cats and horses. Liz loved competing in Eventing/Jumpers and rehabbing injured horses back into working condition. This passion led her to New Hampshire Technical College where she graduated with a CVT in 2002. She worked at the University of New Hampshire for 13 years in the microbiology dept. Liz and her family moved to southern IL in 2016 with her husband, daughter and son. Along with her cat “Rudy” and pet rat “Joy”, Liz is enjoying the mild winters and warmer summers.
Tom & Jerry
Tom & Jerry are our official greeters. They were found as wild kittens almost 3 years ago, and have become gentle, loving members of our staff. When you first come into the clinic, you will most likely be greeted by one or both of these two friends.
